Dear Harvard Tennis Family,

It is nice to be back in Cambridge after a busy, travel filled start to the season. We are competing at home this weekend on Friday, February 26th at 4pm against the St. John's Red Storm followed by the big re-match against the #15 Northwestern Wildcats on Sunday, February 28th at high noon.  There will be free pizza at the match on Sunday and we hope to blanket the Murr in Crimson. Come out and support the team!

ECAC Weekend
The Crimson Netters had a rough outing at the ECAC Championships in Philly.  As the defending champs and first seed, HMT had high hopes going into the weekend.  The boys played well against Yale on the opening day before falling to a strong Cornell squad in the semifinals.  The doubles point would prove pivotal once again in the final result.  Like many of our close matches, the difference can be measured in 4-5 points and it is never fun to be on the losing end of such a tight match.  We would have three match points in singles at #4 that would have put us in the driver seat with two singles matches remaining and Harvard up a break in the third in both. But it wasn't meant to be, as the Big Red made a valiant comeback at #4 and dashed our hopes.  On the last day, the Crimson would take out its frustration on a talented Penn squad to earn a 5-2 win for third place.  The trip home was a little more fun!

Rocky Redux:  Check out the team on the steps of the Art Museum in Philadelphia imitating Rocky!

Best from Boston,

Andrew and Dave
