Harvard tennis rock n' rolls with Harvard Club tennis team

On Friday, December 1st the Harvard Men's Varsity and Club teams joined up at the Murr Center for the first annual Tennis Jamboree. Combining a hotly contested round robin doubles tournament with a theatrical king of the court sideshow, the two squads had a blast. As disco and Motown tunes blared in the background, Varsity co-captain Chris Clayton combined with Club player Rex Park to prevail over Varsity player Sasha Ermakov and Club player Drew Davis to take the round robin title. Other exceptional squads included the consistently smiling number one seed heading into the playoffs: Varsity co-captain Dan Nguyen and German visiting student Michael Modl, and the deadly combination of Club Co-Captain Shane Donovan and the club team's top player, Ronald Kamden. While some teams played more like the Jensen brothers than the Bryan brothers, the tournament proved to be a terrific afternoon of tennis for all. The day will surely serve as the beginning of a blossoming partnership!
