Big start last weekend; help us write the next chapter this Friday and Saturday at Harvard!

April 8, 2008

Bring yourself and your friends!

Dear Friends of Harvard Tennis,

This weekend Harvard is hosting two important Ivy-League contests and we'd love to have your support.  The Crimson is playing U. Penn on Friday, April 11 at 2pm and Princeton at 2pm on Saturday, April 12th.  The Crimson was able to down both the Big Red of Cornell and the Lions of Columbia 4-3 this past weekend and is now 2-0 in the Ivy race.

The competition is formidable.  Penn has tied for the Ivy League title for the last two years, and has already dispatched Brown, the co-titlist two years ago, 5-2 and Yale 6-1.  Princeton beat Penn (5-2) on the opening weekend, but then suffered a couple of injuries which left them vulnerable last weekend to both Brown and Yale.

The matches are scheduled to be at the Beren outdoor facility. Weather might force Saturday, and possibly Friday's matches indoors at the Murr.  Coach Fish and I would love to see many of you out this weekend to give us a real home-court advantage!

Thanks,
Andrew Rueb '95
